Discover how Sawti AAC app empowers Arabic-speaking children, unlocks voices, and brings culturally inclusive communication technology to life.
The Power of Technology in Communication
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC technology) is a lifeline for children and adults who cannot rely on speech. It ranges from simple picture cards to advanced speech-generating apps like Sawti.

The benefits of AAC go far beyond words:

– Education: Students can participate in class, answer questions, and share ideas.

– Social inclusion: Friendships grow when communication becomes possible.

– Emotional well-being: Being understood reduces frustration and builds confidence.

- Independence: Communication allows children to express needs, make choices, and advocate for themselves.

Technology does not replace human connection, it enables it.

How Sawti Transforms Lives
Imagine a boy pressing a button and finally saying “I’m thirsty” in his own Arabic dialect. Imagine a girl answering a question in class for the first time, or telling a joke that makes her siblings laugh.

These aren’t just milestones, they’re life-changing.

With Sawti AAC App:
- Frustration decreases because children can express themselves.

- Learning becomes more interactive and inclusive.

- Parents and teachers gain a clearer understanding of the child’s personality and needs.

– Most importantly, children feel that their voice truly matters.

Why Culturally Inclusive AAC Matters
Language is identity. Most global AAC tools fail Arabic speakers by ignoring dialects, showing unfamiliar foods, or using sentence structures that don’t reflect Arabic grammar.

Sawti is different:

– Offers Arabic dialect choices (Emirati, Egyptian, Jordanian, and more).

– Includes culturally relevant symbols for food, clothing, and daily activities.

– Supports Arabic grammar for natural-sounding communication.

When children see themselves reflected in their communication tool, they use it with confidence, pride, and joy.

The Story Behind Sawti
As a speech and language therapist, I saw the struggles of nonverbal and minimally verbal children. Existing AAC apps were mostly in English, with voices and symbols that felt alien to Arabic-speaking families.

We created Sawti to change this to give children a communication app that speaks their language, reflects their culture, and respects their identity.

Our mission is not only to provide words but to provide belonging.

Looking Ahead
At Tawasul Technologies, Sawti is more than an app.

It’s a movement for inclusive communication technology in the Arabic-speaking world.

We are:

– Expanding dialect options.

- Growing our vocabulary library.

– Integrating AI powered sentence prediction.

– Prioritizing accessibility, dignity, and cultural relevance.

Because communication is not just words it’s connection, identity, and empowerment.
